Exodus: Gods and Kings

As the lights dim I the theater, I anticipate what’s to come. As the screen goes black and white writing appears, I think maybe this is not going to be so bad.
Exodus: Gods and Kings, controversial for its ” white washed ” casting is about the Extraordinary story of Moses and his mission to free the Isrealite nation from slavery. We begin our journey with Moses and Ramses preparing to go to battle against the Hittites, a battle in which I don’t recall reading in my bible, but I may be wrong. Moses played by Christian Bale comes across as an unbeliever who thinks God is a joke but as the movie progresses he come to truly believe there is a God.

There are many creative ” freedoms” taking in this epic story, from the added battles to the 11 year old messenger from God, which was something I didn’t like seeing. I was very happy to see that most of the important things were included such as Moses mentioning God, which is very important, the plagues, burning bush, and most importantly Israel’s exodus out of egypt, including such beautiful background landscape. I have to admit I was a little disappointed not to see how they would part the red seas but the way they did it was very creative and logical.

Overall, this movie wasn’t the best movie I’ve seen but there were some great aspect of it such as the the beautiful costumes and landscape.

I voice this movie: 🌟🌟🌟
